Vastu Shanti is a traditional Hindu ritual performed to purify and harmonize a living or working space according to Vastu Shastra, the ancient Indian science of architecture and energy flow. It is typically done when:
- Moving into a new home or office
- After renovations or construction
- To remove negative energy or doshas (defects)
- To bring peace, prosperity, and positive energy
- Appease the Vastu Purush (the deity of the building/space)
- Remove any Vastu doshas (architectural or directional imbalances)
- Seek blessings for health, wealth, and happiness
- Create a positive environment for the inhabitants
- Ganesh Puja – To remove obstacles.
- Navagraha Puja – Appeasing the nine planetary deities.
- Vastu Purush Mandala Puja – Worship of the deity that governs the space.
- Havan (Fire ritual) – To purify the space and invite divine blessings.
- Kalash Sthapana – Establishing sacred water pots symbolizing divine energy.
- Offerings – Flowers, sweets, grains, coconuts, betel leaves, etc.
- Chanting of Vedic Mantras – For positive vibrations.
